7.6 Wars

  1. ‘War’ is defined as any form of ongoing conflict between two groups of factions.

    1. This primarily involves gangs, but can hypothetically involve any groups or factions.

  2. If two factions wish to enter into a war with each other, they must submit a ticket to let staff know OOC.

  3. When declaring war and negotiating terms, each party must nominate up to two leaders.

    1. These leaders will be responsible for negotiating the war terms, ensuring their party is aware of the war terms and understands them, ensuring their party follow and abide by the war terms, taking disciplinary action if an individual breaks war terms etc.

  4. The factions must agree on terms of war OOC and share these terms with staff when notifying them OOC.

    1. Terms of war are an OOC agreement outlining ‘rules’ that both factions will agree to when undertaking conflict. (ie. Both factions may agree that during this war, there will be no shooting from moving cars/drive-bys, no explosives, no looting of downed players etc based on what is negotiated by the two parties.) This is to ensure that the conflict and combat is fair and to encourage good sportsmanship between players on an OOC level.

    2. Terms of war negotiations can occur either IC or OOC, but staff must be presented with tangible evidence that terms were agreed on.

      1. This can be a written document, screenshots of an OOC discord discussion between the two leaders, a clip of an IC exchange between leaders confirming the terms, etc.

      2. This is so that staff have a clear understanding of expectations between the two parties in the event of staff involvement.

      3. This also allows staff an opportunity to, at their discretion, offer additional opportunities or special resources to both parties in order to enhance RP.

    3. It is entirely acceptable for the war terms to be ‘there are no war terms and no rules.’ As long as both parties OOC agree to a free-for-all, this is ok.

  5. The maximum number of players that each faction can have on their side during a war is 20 people.

    1. If one faction does not have 20 people in their faction to fill all the slots with, they may use allies who are willing to participate to fill the remaining slots if they wish.

    2. General group size caps still apply and no hostile groups in hostile scenarios should have more than 4 players unless staff approval has been given.

    3. Please inform staff which characters will be participating in a war for moderation purposes. (Each side can provide this separately to avoid the possibility of meta gaming.)

  6. Once a war is formally declared, the only people who are to be involved and participate are those listed in the terms of war.

    1. If you are not listed on the terms of war as a participant, you cannot involve yourself in a war scenario between the two parties. Involving yourself is forcing RP and is considered fail RP.

  7. Once a war has been declared over and is concluded, neither party may engage in another war or be engaged in a war for 15 days

    1. The 15 day cool-down period may be waived with staff approval if it is considered beneficial for roleplay.

Terms of war are not meant to restrict RP but are designed to ensure both sides have a clear understanding of the scenario. It is also designed so that staff may quickly assist with any issues that may arise and facilitate ongoing RP, as well as assist in enhancing RP for both parties.
