4.0 - Rule Infractions & Disciplinary Process

Eclipse City takes its rules seriously as they’re the framework that keeps our RP strong, our players safe, and our community happy.

1. Established Disciplinary Framework Eclipse City follows a structured disciplinary process that may include warnings, staff sits, server kicks, and server bans depending on the severity and context of the situation.

2. Player Responsibility to Know the Rules All players are expected to read, understand, and stay familiar with the server rules. It is the player’s responsibility to clarify anything they do not understand.

3. Ignorance Is Not a Defence Claiming you were unaware of a rule does not excuse breaking it. The rules apply equally to all players at all times.

4. No Retaliation or Rule-Breaking in Response Another player breaking a rule does not give you permission to break rules yourself. Report misconduct instead of escalating it.

5. Thorough Investigation of All Incidents Even with a clear disciplinary structure, staff investigate each situation carefully. Context, intent, and all available evidence are reviewed before action is taken to ensure fairness.

6. Rules May Evolve Over Time As Eclipse City grows, rules may be added, changed, or removed. Any updates will be announced in the Discord and reflected in the official rule document.

7. Questions and Clarification If you ever need clarification or have concerns about a rule, submit a staff ticket. Staff are always available to help explain or clarify server guidelines.
