11.0 - Staff

Staff includes helpers, our quality assurance team, moderators, administrators, head administrators, and our much beloved developers.

  1. Be respectful and patient with staff at all times - they work very hard and have lives outside of the Eclipse City community.

  2. Do not DM or directly @ any staff without their express permission.

    1. This includes developers, server owners, and senior staff.

    2. This includes tickets. If a specific staff member needs to be added to your ticket, the staff member assigned to it will add them.

    3. Disciplinary action will be taken against players who DM or try to directly contact staff members without invitation or permission to do so.

  3. The staff members assigned to your ticket are the staff members assigned to your ticket. We do not allow tickets to be ‘escalated’ to server owners, devs, etc.

    1. We actively discourage the practice of keeping ‘pocket staff’ or ‘favorite’ staff in the belief that this means you will be able to circumvent processes, avoid raising tickets, or receive preferential treatment. We will speak to community members who we identify as attempting to do this.

  4. Our staff members have been screened, trained, and trusted with handling staff sits and making decisions. All staff rulings are final. While you are encouraged to give your side of events and speak your piece during a staff sit, we do not tolerate the undermining of staff based on their gender, staff rank, etc during staff sits.

    1. All in-server staff activity is logged automatically by the system, manually by staff, and regularly audited by server owners and developers. This includes use of staff tools such as ped changing, no-clipping, teleporting, reviving, etc.

  5. If you wish to report a staff member and are concerned that they may see your ticket, please directly message a Community Manager.

    1. These complaints are taken seriously, are thoroughly investigated, and kept confidential.

    2. Reporting a staff member will not impact your ability to play on the server, the status or handling or your tickets, or result in any IC consequences.
