4.7 - Excessive use of force

Government agents must only use force to protect themselves or others, or when someone is resisting a lawful arrest, proportionate to the force received

Force must only be used whilst the offender is still meeting either of these criteria, after which they must stop

Tactical contact must not be conducted at speeds in excess of 80kph against motorcycles.

Breaches to be investigated by law enforcement and/or the Board of Directors. A Courts officer may decide to impose any penalty deemed appropriate, including fines and jail time.
