8.3 Perma-Kill (PK)

‘Perma-death’ refers to a situation in which a player’s character dies permanently and is permanently removed from the game after dying. This means that the player cannot respawn or bring back their character in any way, and must create a new character to continue playing on the server. Perma-death is permanent and final.

  1. The purpose of perma-death is to add a higher level of realism and consequence to roleplay scenarios as players must weigh the risks before making decisions in-game.

  2. No player can force another player to perma. A perma-death is a decision that only the player can make.

    1. In extremely rare circumstances, staff may warn a player that one of the consequences of a planned action may result in a forced-perma.

    2. These cases are exceptionally rare and are typically reserved for cases where a character has committed heinous, ongoing, long term acts of murder or terrorism where it would be unrealistic for them to not face the death penalty when prosecuted for their crimes.

    3. Only staff are able to force-perma.

    4. Whitelisted gangs may apply to staff for a PK.

  3. In order to perma, the player must use ‘/me perma’ or ‘/me no pulse’ once downed to signal that they are choosing perma-death.

  4. Players must remain logged in and on their character for the immediate aftermath of their character’s death, including any medical RP from a Doctor/EMS that’s required to declare death.

    1. Players are encouraged to use /me during this time to describe the injuries that caused their death, the state of their corpse, personal effects on their person at the time etc for the roleplay of those Doctors/EMS attending to them, Law enforcement inspecting the crime scene, friends and loved ones who are grieving etc.

    2. You are not to use /me to perform actions as a living person would during this time. Your character is considered dead from the moment you send /me perma etc.

  5. Once the RP of the immediate aftermath of your perma has concluded, you must log out and, on re-entry to the server, delete the dead character from the character selection screen. Not doing this is considered an exploit and is fail RP.

  6. Transferring any items or cash to another player before perma is considered an exploit and is fail rp.

    1. This also applies to moving cash or items to an accessible vehicle, stash, house, leaving it in a location for pick-up by another player, etc.

  7. Last wills and testaments only go into effect 7 days after being approved by a Judge after speaking with a lawyer. If your character perma-deaths before this cooling off period is complete, your belongings, property, etc will not be distributed in accordance with your will.

    1. Wills can be written and obtained by a lawyer or a Judge. This is an IC process. Please do not raise a ticket to request a will.
