• Make, amend or abolish laws of this State

• Govern the State with respect to all matters

• Manage and oversee the State's Emergency Services

• Manage and oversee the State's businesses, trades and finance

• Adjudicate on legal matters

• Recognise citizens with official Honours and Awards
