5.14 - Defamation

A person must not knowingly make false statements, whether spoken or written, that harm the reputation of another individual or entity. This includes both libel (written defamation) and slander (spoken defamation).

Breaches of this law must be brought forward as a civil matter to a court. A judicial officer may decide to impose penalties on the offending party.
